Our client is looking for a Front-End .NET Developer to manage the technology and computer infrastructure that drives the client’s business systems and automation requirements. Under the limited supervision as a member of the cross-functional Digital team, the Web Developer is responsible for maintaining and enhancing applications developed in house, customizing commercial off-the-shelf solutions, and refining related processes and procedures used. Client has an immediate need to migrate web applications from one data center to another, this role will aid in that work. This position will play a crucial role in maintaining, enhancing, and optimizing our web applications. The primary focus will be on front-end development, ensuring that our websites are user-friendly, visually appealing, and responsive on multiple devices. The Developer will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality user experiences across a range of technologies.

Tasks:

• Front-End Development: Create and maintain visually appealing, responsive, and user-friendly web interfaces for C# and .NET applications, WordPress websites, and PHP-based solutions.
• User Experience (UX) Design, Cross-Browser Compatibility, Mobile Responsiveness, Performance Optimization, Website Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Collaboration, Website and application design and development, unit testing, design and code reviews.
• Development of technical documentation and subsequent revisions
• Development of operational documentation and application training for personnel
• Provide regular status updates to PMO and stakeholders on Development.
• A focus on continued process and code improvement both within the IT team as well as throughout the agency is required. This position is expected to participate on cross-functional teams in needs assessment, gathering business requirements, design, testing, implementation and post-production support and evaluation.

Location: Madison, WI. Candidates MUST be WI residents or willing to relocate to WI prior to starting the role at their own expense. Must be willing to travel to Madison as needed. No travel costs will be reimbursed.

Skills Required:

4-7+ years:

• Strong experience in front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and response design.
• Proficiently in C# & .NET
• Experience with WordPress & PHP.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Skills Desired – A plus to have:

• Experience with automated testing and deployment frameworks (CI/CD)
• Experience working in legacy codebases.
• Experience working with SQL Server or other SQL RDBMS
