We are an award-winning product design studio based in San Francisco. We work on futuristic products and digital experiences that will hopefully change the world for the better. As "the fortune tellers of design" we actively pursue futuristic/next wave technologies while consistently pursuing a craft based approach to our design practice.

We are growing our team and looking for a talented Visual Designer with 3 - 5 years of experience.

This ideal "T" shaped candidate would have a deep visual sensitivity, have had exposure to digital product design and also be interested in adjacent creative disciplines such as Industrial Design.

Who's a good fit?

You WERE a graphic designer or brand designer in your previous life BUT you wanted to get closer to making products so you are in the grey area between UI design and Brand/Visual Design. You still love beautiful design but you also want your design to be driven by usability and function.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in or Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Communication Design.

  • 3+ years working as a visual designer, with a strong digital portfolio, viewable online

  • Expert in design tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite etc., Aftereffects)

  • Great examples of UI design, graphic design, typography, layout skills

  • Pixel-perfect attention to detail

  • An uncompromising and hands on approach to design

  • Self-motivated, excellent communication, an open mind, the ability to thrive in multidisciplinary teams, and the skills to balance great design with short deadlines

What you'll do:

  • Be able to create emotionally engaging design work that is also part of a larger conversation about brand and product.

  • Carry out UI work that includes: layout, typography, color, motion and helps to connect a brand to the actual product.

  • Create visual UI design/brand guidelines

  • Participate in user testing sessions, observational studies, customer interviews, usability testing session to validate UX or UI directions.

  • Articulate complex solutions clearly.

  • Quick-thinking, personable, and flexible.

  • Some experience collaborating with software development would be a plus!
