Position Title:Motion Designer (Full-Time, Remote)

Job Summary: Eyestorm Creative is an award-winning creative agency & production company based in Los Angeles focused on gaming, entertainment, and tech brands. We are seeking an experienced Motion Designer to join our team and help build an exciting vertical focused on caused-based philanthropy and humanitarian issues. As the Motion Designer, you will lead creative content development and execution of the social channels for an emerging philanthropic organization with the mission of supporting individuals, communities, and organizations to better understand themselves and each other. This role requires someone with a proven track record as a senior designer or art director working on a team to create content to grow a social media following across multiple platforms and engage deeply with established online communities.

We're looking for a well-rounded Motion Designer to own the creative development of the brand on social media, take pride in crafting every post (still, motion, and video assets), push the boundaries of social media platforms to grow the audience, and collaborate with the team in an ego-free, fun, and positive way. The person in this role will be working closely with a cross-functional team to own and execute across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, and other emerging platforms. This will be a hands-on role requiring content creation, repackaging, strategic thinking, and relationship building.

Description of the job:

  • Represent the brand appropriately and effectively across platforms

  • Concept and collaborate with Community Managers, Editors, Copywriters, Strategists, and Art Directors

  • Work closely with Account Managers to provide insight on resourcing, and ensure creative concepts are on brand and strategically sound including reviewing assets for final approval by the Creative Director

  • Direct the design and development of creative materials

  • Ensure creative assets are produced to achieve brand marketing objectives, on time

  • Process and circulate client feedback with the ability to make adjustments as necessary

  • Attend scheduled team brainstorm and check-in meetings across departments

  • Present to and meet with clients of all levels

Responsibilities:

  • Ideation and creation of fresh new creative concepts for assets related to Social Media and Digital Video (static images, motion, gifs, memes, video, etc.)

  • Provide clear communication, leadership, and motivation to produce high-level graphic output and digital solutions

  • Be a leader within the team and own creative production process and execution of all content for all social accounts to execute on schedule

  • Guide the social efforts for the brand and cement processes and operations to make the team be more efficient and effective

  • Be a key collaborator and cross-functional teammate who engages, listens, and collaborates with the Social Media Manager, Copywriters, and Strategists on the overall social media growth strategy

  • Coordinate and develop social media standardized methodologies, templates, strategies, and approaches to increase efficiency and meet goals and objectives

  • Work with the Social Media Manager to oversee and produce a weekly live stream with a moderator engaging with the community

  • Be an inspiring peer and help develop out-of-the-box and first-to-market content and activations that will drive social conversations and increase brand awareness, loyalty and retention

  • Repackage and repurpose organic social media content for paid ad outreach and sponsored content

  • Leverage audience insights to develop new ways to communicate and raise awareness among existing and new audiences

  • Exceed client expectations with your social creative creations

  • The role reports to the Lead Creative Strategist

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years design experience focused on building brands, social media and advertising preferably female focused and for female audiences

  • 3+ years of leadership and people management experience - able to lead and inspire others

  • 5+ years professional on-the-job experience using Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro.

  • Must be a bright, articulate, self-starter who can take initiative and bring new ideas to the table

  • Must have a strong art direction background in graphic design and be willing to concept, design, and execute

  • Passionate about working in social media and have a strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok

  • Professional, dependable, efficient, self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, flexible and have excellent follow-through, prioritization, and time management skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work under tight deadlines

  • Have the ability to work independently and collaboratively and to successfully manage and oversee concurrent and competing projects

  • Experience overseeing photo/video/livestream shoots and collaborating with production/post-production partner

  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier, InDesign (Mac), Mac OSX, Figma, Sketch, Keynote

  • Knowledge of Asana ticketing system a plus

  • Strong ability to lead and provide constructive feedback to Jr. Designers

  • A natural solutions-oriented self-starter who can get things done and proactively make suggestions on doing things better

  • Ability to communicate thoughts and creative concepts to clients and management

  • A passion for social media and deeply familiar with online behaviors and how to communicate across the various platforms in the cultural zeitgeist

  • Bachelor of Arts in Commercial Art, Graphic Design, Motion Graphics Design, Marketing or comparable field experience is required
