We're seeking an experienced Freelance Senior UX Web Designer to join our team to and experiences for mission-driven organizations like museums, universities, nonprofits, and cities. Responsibilities

• Contribute to the research and discovery phase through competitive audits, research, and any additional tactics that add value
• Translate information architecture and content sitemap into wireframes
• Create web design concepts from wireframes
• Apply design concepts to wireframes
• Prototype web interaction and states
• Create tablet and mobile breakpoints
• Create Export ready files for development
• Create Web Style sheets for handoff to development

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years agency experience in designing and prototyping for the web.
• You are self-motivated, detail-oriented with excellent organization skills, and have the ability to independently guide workload and prioritization.
• A true commitment to excellence, and full ownership of your responsibilities.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Design content with an understanding of UX principles - user interaction, user tasks, etc., with a focus on customer-centric design. Should be able to perform basic usability tests and present work in context.
• Expert and best practices with Adobe XD or similar web design and prototyping applications.
• Must be creative and have a great eye for detail and color sense.
• Portfolio with web examples required.

Bonus

• Experience designing for Drupal or WordPress.
• An understanding of front-end web development (HTML, CSS, JS) (no coding necessary).

Availability

• Work from our LA office in sunny LA, or remotely anywhere in the USA, available 9-5 from any US time zone.
• Be available to work 20h - 30h per week for the next 3 months and potentially ongoing.
