About the Company Dekker Web Solutions is a multi-faceted website development and marketing company located near Grand Rapids, MI, offering web-related services to clients both in the local area and throughout the United States. About the Internship Dekker Web Solutions is in search of an intern to assist with weekly planning, projects, strategizing, and more. The DWS team believes strongly in allowing people to operate in their area of strength, and as such, will consider applicants with a wide range of abilities, as long as they fall within the web development, marketing, or design categories. Because our company has tripled in size during the last year alone, we have plenty of work in any of these categories to keep the intern occupied. About the Desired Intern Ideally, the intern for Dekker Web Solutions will have an excellent work ethic, be responsible, possess excellent follow-through skills, have the ability to meet deadlines, and is highly motivated. The individual should be reliable and willing to accept both direction and correction/feedback. Weekly Commitment Dekker Web Solutions is extremely flexible in working with the next intern to allow the position to fit their schedules. Ideally, however, he/she would work between 6 and 8 hours per week on DWS-related projects, and almost all of this can be done on their schedules. Besides weekly meetings with Chris Dekker, company president, the intern is free to complete the tasks on his/her timeline, provided they meet pre-arranged deadlines. Compensation Although the DWS internship position does not offer monetary compensation, it is ideal for resume building, gaining experience and connections in the field, and meeting course work requirements.
