We are looking for a passionate, creative and dynamic freelance Web Designer/Graphic Designer that can develop and grow our web content.\n \nREACH Strategies helps the world’s leading companies, foundations, government agencies and non-profit organizations reach their social change goals by developing data-driven communications, campaigns, and strategic plans. We then help our partners execute those plans, conceiving and implementing tightly linked outreach and engagement strategies designed to win in today’s world. We work across three mutually reinforcing arenas:\n \nStrategic Services\nWe deploy a range of data-driven approaches to set the strategic direction that will help our partners reach their goals. We work with established and emerging major foundations, individual philanthropists, government agencies, and nonprofits to develop a wide range of communications, campaign, organizational development, and business plans.\n \nEngagement Services\nOur experienced design team develops engagement campaigns that create deep user experiences and support lasting change. We help people garner first-hand experience with the new worlds and new vistas we are fostering with our work.\n \nCampaign Services\nFrom deep strategy work on leveraging the right mix of outreach tools to basic blocking and tackling to ensure that the most important work is completed, our campaign team ensures that our partners make steady progress towards their goals. We deploy a suite of custom-designed social monitoring tools to mark progress and support course corrections.\n \nOur work has a strong focus on the environment, with a particular emphasis on clean energy and electric vehicles. We provide an excellent work environment and a strong emphasis on personal development and learning. \n\n\nSUMMARY OF THE POSITION: \nThe freelance Web Designer/Graphic Designer will build upon the current REACH Strategies website, make adjustments to the look, layout, and features of the website as well as support the creation of a range of small web projects to support our clients. The freelance Web Designer/Graphic Designer should understand both graphic design and computer programming. The freelance Web Designer/Graphic Designer will work closely with REACH CEO and Senior Program Strategist in keeping the site up-to-date and prioritizing needs, among other related tasks. \n \nDUTIES:\nInclude but are not limited to, the following:\n-Conceptualizing creative ideas with REACH CEO and Senior Program Strategist\n-Testing and improving the design of the website\n-Establishing design guidelines, standards, and best practices\n-Maintaining the appearance of websites by enforcing content standards\n-Designing visual imagery for websites and ensuring that they are in line with branding for clients\n-Working with different content management systems\n-Communicating design ideas using user flows, process flows, sitemaps and wireframes\n-Incorporating functionalities and features into websites\n-Designing sample pages including colors and fonts\n-Preparing design plans and presenting the website structure\n\nQUALIFICATIONS:\n-An up to date portfolio showcasing strong body of work\n-Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other visual design tools\n-Proficiency in front-end development web programming languages such as HTML and CSS, JQuery, and JavaScript\n-Good understanding of content management systems\n-Good understanding of search engine optimization principles\n-Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues\n-Excellent graphic design skills\n-Up-to-date experience with international web protocols, standards, and technologies\n-Creative and open to new ideas\n-Adaptable and willing to learn new techniques\n-Excellent communication skills\n-A sense of humor \n\nTO APPLY:\nSubmit resume, portfolio/examples of your website and graphic design work, cover letter including your compensation requirements at reach-strategies.org/careers/ \n\nREACH Strategies provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
