\nDescription:\n\nWe are looking for a web designer. You will be responsible for creating great websites for our clients. Primary duties include conceptualizing and implementing creative ideas for our client’s websites and social media, as well as creating visual elements that are in line with their branding. You will be working closely with our web development team to ensure proper and hassle-free implementation. To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent visual design skills and be proficient in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nConceptualizing creative ideas with clients.\nTo be fully responsible for leading the design, phase of client projects.\nDesign and layout for all digital platforms including websites, apps, emails, etc.\nTesting and improving the design of the website.\nEstablishing design guidelines, standards, and best practices.\nUpdating client websites with design content, specifically utilizing the Wordpress platform.\nDesign visual imagery for websites and ensuring that they are in line with branding for clients.\nWorking with different content management systems, heavy emphasis on Wordpress and Shopify.\nCommunicating design ideas, using flows, process flows, site maps, and wireframes.\nIncorporating functionalities and features into websites.\nDesign sample pages including colors and fonts.\nPreparing design plans and presenting the website structure.\n\nRequirements:\n\nExcellent visual design skills.\nCreative and open to new ideas.\nAdaptable and willing to learn new technologies.\nExcellent communication skills.\nAppreciation of typography, layout, brand, and visual identity.\nAble to manage multiple projects, workload, and priorities.\nProven experience in performing all design aspects of website design.\nProficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Canva, and other visual design tools.\nA relevant portfolio\n\nDesired Attributes:\n\nA degree in a related field\nGood understanding of content management systems, especially Wordpress and Shopify.\nUnderstanding of how to format design files for efficient hand-off to the dev team.\nGood understanding of search engine optimization systems.\nProficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues.\nUp-to-date experience with international web protocols, standards, and technologies.\nProficiency in front-end development web programming languages such as HTML and CSS, JQuery, and Javascript.\n\nWe encourage you to apply even if you don’t have every line item listed above. Everything else is negotiable. \n\nThis position will start at 10 hours a week, with future growth potential if desired. The pay range is $18-20/hour.
