About the business

We are a licensed formal Japanese / Sushi train restaurant with table service in Thornlands QLD.

We have been successfully open for one and half years offering Donburi, Sashimi, Salad, Dessert and sushi dishes as well as beers and wine

About the role

We are currently seeking experienced chefs who are an expert in Japanese cuisine but also have the understanding of local preference.

The tasks and duties include

1. Monitor food preparation and methods.

2. Direct cleaning of kitchen and dining areas to maintain

sanitation standards, and keep appropriate records.

3. Monitor actions of staff and customers to ensure that health

and safety standards

4. May use computer software to monitor inventory, track staff

schedules and pay, and perform other record keeping tasks.

5. Check quality of deliveries of fresh food.

6. Meet with sales representatives to order supplies such as

tableware, cooking utensils, and cleaning items.

7. Arrange for maintenance and repair of equipment and other

services.

8. Select or create successful menu items based on many

considerations, and assign prices based on cost analysis.

9. train new staff

10.Estimate food consumption, place orders with suppliers, and

schedule delivery of fresh food and beverages.

11. Resolve customer complaints about food quality or service.

Benefits and perks

Full time

annual salary AUD$77,000 plus superannuation

Skills and experience

must have relevant qualification and also work experience in Australia within a high volume Japanese restaurant
