Landscape Architect (Visualisation and Visual Assessment Specialist)

Brisbane is entering an unprecedented and exciting period of growth with an enviable array of upcoming projects that require creative, energetic and driven designers. We are seeking a talented Landscape Architect specialising in visualisation with 10 plus years’ experience to join our Brisbane team. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, a passion and demonstrated experience for creating visualisations to support landscape and visual impact assessment projects, and the ability to work in a team to deliver projects with confidence and creativity. The candidate should also demonstrate proven experience in design communication and documentation with the ability to work collaboratively within our team in a high performing design studio.

About You

As a Landscape Architect (3D visualisation and visual assessment specialist), you will be an integral member of the studio team primarily supporting our Landscape Planning and Visual Assessment team.

The role will require the production of high-quality visualisations accurately presenting design, planning, urban design, and Landscape Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) project types, particularly renewable energy and transportation project typologies.

You will also be required to assist in the successful delivery of Landscape projects from concept design through to documentation for construction. In addition, you will play a key role in our team through positive collaboration demonstrating self-motivation and the ability to manage multiple project deliverables guided by our unique studio values.

Your responsibilities will include delivery of high quality project outputs, fostering strong client relationships, coordinating with the studio team, and ensuring design briefs, project goals, and quality standards are met throughout all project stages. You will also work closely with studio management to support daily operations, contributing to a productive and dynamic workplace.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  1. A tertiary qualification (bachelor’s degree or post graduate qualification) in Landscape Architecture with additional qualifications and experience in Architecture and/or 3D design preferred.
  2. High-quality technical foundation in 3D visualisation in the following software applications:
  3. SketchUp,
  4. AutoCAD and Revit
  5. Rhino
  6. 3DSMax
  7. V-ray and Enscape
  8. Very strong skills in photomontage and compositing in Adobe Photoshop.
  9. Strong understanding of GIS applications and understanding of managing geospatial data in a visualisation workflow.
  10. Proven experience working successfully in a collaborative team studio environment with 10 plus years’ experience.
  11. A portfolio demonstrating experience producing accurate visualisations/assessment montages at both eye level and 3-D birds eye views, to support Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) reporting on multiple infrastructure types including:
  12. solar farms (layouts and associated structures),
  13. wind farms (layouts and associated structures),
  14. battery energy storage systems (BESS) facilities (including layouts and associated structures),
  15. pumped hydro energy storage (PHES)
  16. heavy rail corridors (and associated structures)
  17. highways (and associated structures).
  18. The ability to prioritise multiple projects and deadlines and manage project involvement under the guidance of the Directors / Project Managers within budgets and time parameters
  19. The ability to critically review their own work to achieve exceptional outcomes

  7. Salary range of $77,000 to $82,000 (plus Superannuation)
