About the Role:

As a Technical Writer (Product Learning & Development Specialist) at Skymetrix, you will be part of a team that has the responsibilities of creating and maintaining high-quality documentation, creating training strategies and materials for our software products. You will work closely with various stakeholders across the software development lifecycle, such as developers, product managers, quality assurance engineers, and customer support representatives, to ensure that the documentation meets the needs and expectations of our users. You will also research and stay updated on the latest trends and developments in the cost management software and airline industry domains and apply your knowledge and skills to enhance the documentation quality and user experience.

Responsibilities:

• Develop documentation for software products and features, such as user guides, online help, release notes.

• Collaborate with software developers, product managers, quality assurance engineers, and customer support representatives to gather information, validate content, and obtain feedback.

• Follow documentation standards, best practices, and style guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across all documentation deliverables.

• Use documentation tools and platforms to create, manage, and publish documentation in various formats.

• Research and stay updated on the latest trends and developments in the cost management software and airline industry domains.

• Help deliver onboarding training to internal and external stakeholders.

• This is a client facing position working partially on client sites. You must be willing to travel.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in technical communication, computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• At least 3 years of proven experience as a technical writer in the software industry, preferably in the cost management or airline domains.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple and engaging terms.

• The ability to lead through inspiration, empowerment and making clear and confident decisions.

• Active integration of a wide range of thoughts and perspectives in order to develop more robust plans and solutions.

• A confident communicator who can identify core messages and articulate Skymetrix’s vision for all levels of stakeholder. Comfortable engaging senior management to steer complex programs.

• Capability to thrive under pressure: you are most comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, spinning multiple plates at any one time.

• Self-awareness – you are aware of your strengths and weaknesses and have a continued focus on personal development.
