We’re seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our workshop and contribute to quality components that exceed customer expectations.

Position OverviewAs a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and programming CNC machines to produce precision parts in accordance with engineering specifications. You’ll work with a range of materials and machining equipment, ensuring accuracy, quality, and efficiency. This role requires strong technical ability, attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.

  1. Key ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, and monitor CNC milling and turning machines
  2. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders
  3. Program CNC machines (using CAM software where required) and optimise cutting parameters
  4. Inspect and measure finished components using precision instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMMs)
  5. Maintain accurate production records and complete quality documentation
  6. Perform routine maintenance and tool changes to ensure machine performance
  7. Identify process improvements to reduce waste and increase productivity
  8. Comply with all safety standards and workshop procedures
  9. Skills & QualificationsCert III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (or equivalent) preferred
  10. Proven experience as a CNC Machinist in a production or precision engineering environment
  11. Proficient with CNC programming (G-code/M-code) and CNC controls
  12. Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation
  13. Experience with precision measurement tools and quality inspection
  14. Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
  15. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
