Software Engineer

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join the team! In this role, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the company’s software systems, including e-commerce platforms and internal applications. This is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week based in Cavan, SA.

Main tasks:

-Taking sole responsibility for the development and maintenance of the company’s e-commerce platform and internal systems.

-Managing and implementing integrations with third-party payment service providers.

-Designing, developing, testing, and deploying new features and improvements to business-critical applications.

-Maintaining and optimizing the company’s database, with a focus on performance and data integrity.

-Administering both cloud-based and on-premises servers, including deployments, monitoring, and regular maintenance activities.

-Applying DevOps practices to automate build, testing, and deployment pipelines.

-Identifying and resolving software bugs and performance issues through proactive monitoring and user feedback.

-Providing direct technical support to internal users and addressing software-related incidents.

-Participating in strategic discussions concerning digital infrastructure, system upgrades, and technology-driven process improvements.

Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience:

-Minimum of a relevant bachelor’s degree qualification plus minimum 1 year’ relevant work experience in the last 5 years.

-5 years’ relevant work experience may substitute the formal qualification.

-Ability to analyse complex issues and develop effective technical solutions.

-Clearly conveys technical concepts to team members and non-technical stakeholders.

-Works effectively within cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time.

-Quickly learns new technologies and adapts to evolving project requirements.

-Ensures code quality, system reliability, and data integrity.

-Prioritises tasks and manages multiple projects efficiently to meet deadlines.

Annual salary will be between $85,000.00 to $95,000.00 (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience.
