We are seeking a Network Analyst to join our Sydney team, supporting major telco companies with network infrastructure. This role focuses on analysing, planning, and optimising network architecture, while also providing operational support to ensure reliable, high-performance connectivity for customers. You will work closely with network engineers, IT teams, and vendors to implement improvements, monitor network performance, and provide strategic recommendations for network design and expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Network Analysis & Architecture:
2. Research, analyse, and evaluate network infrastructure, identifying areas for improvement.
3. Recommend policies, strategies, and enhancements for network design and architecture.
4. Participate in network planning, capacity forecasting, and technology upgrade initiatives.
5. Operational Support & Troubleshooting:
6. Monitor network systems (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless) to ensure high availability and performance.
7. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve network faults and incidents.
8. Implement software/hardware upgrades, patches, and network configuration changes.
9. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to maintain operational efficiency.
10. Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
11. Track network performance metrics, generate reports, and recommend improvements.
12. Document network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
13. Conduct risk assessments and support network security initiatives, including compliance with industry standards.
14. Strategic Contribution:
15. Assist with long-term network design and architecture projects.
16. Evaluate emerging technologies and industry best practices to support strategic decision-making.

Required Skills & Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
2. 5+ years working in commercial Networks either Enterprise or Telco
3. Proven experience as a Network Analyst or in a role involving network design, planning, and analysis.
4. Strong knowledge of network protocols and technologies: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing (BGP, OSPF), and switching.
5. Experience with network monitoring and performance analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG).
6. Knowledge of network security principles, firewall management, and VPN technologies.
7. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and reporting skills.
8. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

Desirable:

1. Cisco, Juniper, or other relevant networking certifications CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA or higher.
2. Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) and SD-WAN technologies.
3. Familiarity with Australian telecommunications regulations and industry standards.
