Wren Oil is currently seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team.
This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week. To be a successful candidate you would be able to demonstrate relevant experience and abilities including but not limited to the following:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial statements for the export and production division, including profit and loss reporting, variance analysis, and commentary.
- Develop and maintain production costing schedules, including cost of goods sold (COGS), margin analysis, and export-related cost allocations.
- Manage reconciliations linked to international shipments, including vessel-based invoicing, export sales reconciliation, and shipping-related accruals.
- Monitor and manage multi-currency accounts, foreign receivables, exchange-rate impacts, and settlement processes.
- Prepare and update annual cash flow forecasts and contribute to annual budget preparation for export and production activities.
- Assist with quarterly and year-end statutory reporting obligations.
- Prepare and submit taxation and compliance reporting relevant to export operations, including excise documentation, export declarations, and PSO-related reporting.
- Maintain accurate inventory-related financial data, production inputs, and costing records.
- Review financial transactions, export operations, and capital expenditure to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with company policies.
- Prepare accurate and timely management reports for senior management relating to export and production performance.
- Ensure internal controls are adhered to and support continuous improvement of finance procedures relevant to the export division.
- Provide financial support to logistics, production, and export teams as required.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the Administration Coordinator or Management.
About You:
- The Ideal candidate will preferably have completed a bachelor's degree in accounting
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar role.
- Technical capabilities to prepare financial reports.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office Excel skills required.
- Experience with accounting software package - MYOB Exo Business and MYOB Advanced
- High level of numeracy, accountancy skills & attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and focused & can work autonomously and in a team environment.
- Be organised, planned, and have efficient time management skills.
