About the Position
The Procurement Specialist role is a critical position within JDE Homes Pty Ltd, responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of construction materials, equipment, and services. The role involves supplier management, contract negotiation, cost control, and collaboration with project teams to support the company's construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and budgets.
- Identify, assess, and select reliable suppliers, maintaining strong relationships to ensure a stable supply chain.
- Prepare and issue RFQs, tender documents, and purchase orders; negotiate prices, delivery schedules and contract terms.
- Monitor procurement costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and assist in budget planning and forecasting.
- Track production, shipment, and delivery schedules to ensure timely and quality delivery to project site.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and ensure compliance with company policies and Australian regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and finance teams to meet procurement requirements.
- Conduct market research on industry trends, pricing, and innovative materials or technologies.
Requirements
- Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in procurement
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent supplier relationship management and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in budget management and cost control.
- Knowledge of Australian regulations.
- Analytical skills for market research and trend analysis.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
