ICT Business Analyst - Full Time - Melbourne - $80K - $90K

Tasks included:

Duties / Tasks will include:

Consult with academic staff, student services, and administrative teams to identify and document business needs related to course delivery, enrolment, and compliance requirements.

Analyse and map existing processes across student management systems (SMS), learning management systems (LMS), timetabling, and reporting workflows.

Evaluate ICT systems used for enrolment, attendance tracking, and assessment reporting, and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and student experience.

Develop and document functional specifications, business cases, and system requirements for projects such as online enrolment platforms, digital attendance, and electronic academic records.

Liaise with software developers, vendors, and ICT support staff to ensure system changes align with functional requirements and compliance standards.

Support the design, implementation, and monitoring of new solutions, including upgrades to student information systems and learning technologies.

Prepare user manuals, training guides, and deliver workshops for teachers and administrative staff to support adoption of new ICT processes.

Assist in planning and conducting user acceptance testing (UAT) for new system modules, ensuring accuracy of student records and compliance reporting.

Monitor project timelines and outcomes, providing reports to senior management on ICT project progress and system performance.

Qualification and Work Experience Requirement:

Educational Background:

Bachelor's degree.

Work Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience as an ICT Business Analyst or a similar role.

Proven experience in business process optimization and data-driven decision-making.

Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).

Experience with project management methodologies and tools.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Familiarity with ICT systems and applications in a business environment.
