Full-time | Permanent | 38 hours per week

Salary: From AUD 82,000 + superannuation (commensurate with experience)

Our Perth branch is growing rapidly, and we are now seeking a dedicated Systems Administrator to support our IT operations both locally and online across all branches.

The Role:

As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining the stability, security, and efficiency of ArtinToys’ IT infrastructure. This includes retail systems, e-commerce platforms, inventory management, and branch connectivity. The role combines hands-on system administration with light programming, system management, and automation to ensure seamless operations for both in-store and online sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and maintain servers, operating systems, and core business applications and software across Perth and nationwide branches.
  2. Administer branch connectivity, user access, and IT security (firewalls, patching, antivirus, intrusion prevention).
  3. Monitor system and workstations performance and troubleshoot issues affecting retail and e-commerce platforms
  4. Perform regular troubleshooting, backups, disaster recovery readiness, and maintain system documentation.
  5. Provide end-user support and training, ensuring staff can work effectively with IT systems.
  6. Liaise with web administrators and web developers to ensure smooth integration of online platforms with business systems.
  7. Collaborate with management to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and reporting solutions.
  8. Liaise with external vendors and service providers for upgrades, licensing, and technical problem resolution. projects.

Skills & Qualifications (preferred, not mandatory):

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  2. Relevant Strong background in system administration: managing Windows and Linux servers, operating systems, and virtualised environments (VMware/Hyper-V).
  3. Proficiency in automation and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar) for routine system tasks, reporting, and process improvement.
  4. Hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies:
  5. Active Directory / Group Policy
  6. Office 365 / Exchange / Teams administration
  7. Azure administration (identity, security, cloud resources)
  8. Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS and/or Google Cloud) for hosting, backup, and integration.
  9. Solid knowledge of networking and connectivity: VLANs, VPNs (IPsec/SSL), SD-WAN, DHCP/DNS, Wi-Fi Enterprise; experience with firewalls (Fortinet, Sophos, Meraki) desirable.
  10. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., PRTG, Zabbix, ELK/OpenSearch, Microsoft Sentinel) for performance and security oversight.
  11. Experience in backup management, disaster recovery planning, and system documentation.
  12. Ability to liaise with vendors, service providers, and web administrators/developers to ensure smooth system integration.
  13. Minimum 4 years’ professional IT experience in systems administration, infrastructure, or automation roles.
  14. Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to support and train non-technical staff effectively.
  15. Preferably Knowledge of retail systems, e-commerce platforms, and multi-site IT support. • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  16. Excellent communication skills and ability to support non-technical staff
