We are currently seeking skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineering Draftsperson, Electrical Engineering Technician & Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a key role in delivering high quality projects. These are full-time, permanent positions.

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING DRAFTSPERSON

As an Electrical Engineering Draftsperson, you will be responsible for creating detailed and accurate designs for custom switchboards. You will collaborate closely with our engineering and production teams to ensure designs meet client specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Design and draft detailed switchboard layouts, schematics, and wiring diagrams using AutoCADe and ePLAN software.
  2. CAD/CAM manufacturing drafting using Autodesk Inventor and Solidworks or experience using similar software.
  3. Collaborate with clients, engineers, and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications.
  4. Ensure compliance with Australian Standards and relevant industry regulations.
  5. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including bills of materials, cable schedules, and assemble instructions
  6. Conduct design reviews and make necessary adjustments to meet technical and functional requirements.
  7. Provide technical support to the production team during the manufacturing process.
  8. Continuously improve design processes to enhance efficiency and quality.

Skills and Experience

  1. Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering / mechanical engineering or a related field.
  2. Proven experience as an Electrical Engineering Draftsperson
  3. Proficiency in AutoCADe software.
  4. Strong understanding of switchboard manufacturing processes and relevant standards.
  5. Strong understanding of electrical switchboard installation.
  6. Excellent attention to detail.
  7. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  8. Solid grasp of industrial electrical control systems including motors, instruments, telemetry / control systems (highly favourable)
  9. Experience in SolidWorks or AutoCAD Inventor (highly favourable)

Salary - $85,000 to $120,000

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Assemble, wire, and test low-voltage and industrial switchboards under the direction of the Engineering Manager or Senior Technician
  2. Complete undertaken tasks to a high standard in accordance with the AS/NZS 3000 & AS/NZS 61439.3
  3. Effectively prioritise and plan your work assignments to ensure that all designated tasks and duties are completed within established timeframes.
  4. Apply practical problem-solving skills to troubleshoot wiring issues, component failures, or unexpected technical challenges, using innovative and efficient methods in consultation with the Engineering team.
  5. Maintain accurate and legible documentation of test and inspection records and ensure that they are consistently updated and stored in required job storage locations.

Skills and Experience

  1. Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in electrical switchboard manufacturing and engineering
  3. Basic knowledge and understanding of electrical engineering theory and testing methods
  4. Instrumentation and control experience and understanding (desirable)

Salary: $76,515 to $90,000

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Strong knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles pertaining to, but not limited to, Power Systems, Industrial Automation, and Control Systems
  2. Proficiency in design, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment
  3. Experience with electrical drafting software such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar
  4. Knowledge of Australian electrical standards and regulations
  5. Experience with IT/OT systems including PLC programming and SCADA development

Skills and Experience

  1. Tertiary education in Electrical Engineering or similar
  2. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  3. A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous learning

Salary: $90,000 to $130,000
