TTS offers a range of services including project and construction management consulting services, plant hire, labour hire and construction at all stages of the project lifestyle.
We are currently in the search for an Electrical Engineering Technician (Technical Officer) to join our team. This is a full-time position with 38-hour basic weeks.
Purpose and Specific Skills for the role:
The role involves a mix of engineering design, project management, and technical documentation, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and in compliance with relevant standards.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Liaise with customers and manufacturers regarding designs/drawings supplied and advise appropriate manufacturing and installation methods
- Perform electrical and/or telecommunications testing in accordance with the applicable industry standards. This involves assessing electrical installations and circuitry including preparing drawings, plans and diagrams
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure designs meet technical and safety standards
- Conduct technical review of client issued documentation to determine project scope and price estimates
- Development of test proformas, inspect electrical designs and circuitry, finished products to ensure compliance to specifications as well as safety regulations and standards
- Compilation of quality assurance documentation, test reports and test plans
- Undertake Quality control of manufactured and installed parts to ensure the product meets the project / customer requirements and reject those that don’t meet the required specification
- Support of projects as required which can include estimating materials costs and quantities, developing parts lists, bill of materials for projects and obtaining quotes from suppliers
- Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
Specific qualifications and experience required include:
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines when required
- Development of quality assurance documentation in line with project scope and technical requirements
- Time management and resource planning and management in line with company objectives
- Experience in 2D/3D Computer Aided Design work and ability to use Computer Aided Design (Auto CAD) Software
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar position
- MS Project experience
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree level qualification required
- Drivers Licence, OHS White Card and RIW essential
You must have work rights in Australia or be an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident
