1. Systems Administrator (ANZSCO: ****** Systems Administrator)

About the role:

As a Systems Administrator with Rusca Developments, you’ll ensure our IT systems, databases, and networks run reliably and securely to support our modular construction operations and remote projects. You’ll manage database architecture, backups, security controls, and troubleshooting, working closely with vendors and internal teams. This role keeps our business data safe and accessible, so we can deliver quality solutions to the communities we serve.

Salary: AUD 105,000 per annum of Superannuation

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, build, and maintain robust database frameworks and data structures to ensure accuracy, integrity, and seamless accessibility of critical business and project information.
  2. Establish clear naming conventions, tables, and data dictionaries that support our modular manufacturing operations and project delivery across remote sites.
  3. Develop and manage operational routines for backups, disaster recovery, and system restoration to safeguard business continuity in all conditions, including remote and off-grid locations.
  4. Enforce rigorous security and integrity protocols to protect sensitive data related to construction projects, workforce, and community partnerships.
  5. Draft, update, and oversee comprehensive database documentation, operational guidelines, and IT procedures that align with Rusca’s high standards of quality and compliance.
  6. Plan and conduct thorough testing of database systems and upgrades, including troubleshooting, logging, and resolving any performance issues to ensure smooth, uninterrupted service delivery.
  7. Lead the development and implementation of security strategies, working closely with external vendors, service providers, and security partners to maintain robust protection and meet contractual obligations.
  8. Deliver responsive technical support by diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues affecting servers, workstations, and critical communication networks, ensuring minimal disruption to operations in both our Darwin facility and remote community sites.
  9. Prepare and maintain clear system documentation, operational instructions, and logs that enable consistent and reliable system performance, while supporting regulatory and internal audit requirements.
  10. Oversee the design and layout of IT infrastructure to ensure all systems integrate effectively, with continuous monitoring and performance tuning to meet the demands of our modular construction environment.
  11. Proactively assess our current IT landscape, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend enhancements to support the growth of our manufacturing capabilities and community projects.

Requirements:

  1. Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with minimum 05 years’ experience in business analysis or systems implementation.
  2. Proven experience in system administration, database management, backups, and security controls.
  3. Solid knowledge of server and network infrastructure, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  4. Demonstrated understanding of data integrity, disaster recovery, and system security best practices.
  5. Experience liaising with external vendors, suppliers, or service providers for IT solutions and support.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  7. Ability to prepare and maintain clear technical documentation, policies, and procedures.

2. Network Engineer (ANZSCO: ****** Computer Network and Systems Engineer)

About the role:

We are currently looking fora Computer Network and Systems Engineer , where one will manage and support the IT infrastructure that connects our modular construction operations and remote project sites. You’ll ensure secure, reliable network systems that enable efficient communication and project delivery across all locations.

Salary: AUD 85,000 Per annum + Superannuation

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analyse and develop complex system designs, architecture specifications, and data models to ensure effective integration and configuration of IT systems.
  2. Monitor and evaluate network infrastructure to maintain optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.
  3. Identify and recommend improvements to existing hardware, software, communication systems, and overall network operations
  4. Diagnose and resolve network issues and emergencies, providing expert-level technical support as needed
  5. Install, configure, test, and maintain networks, servers, software applications, databases, and user workstations.
  6. Design and implement custom network solutions to support specific business and operational requirements.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation covering network inventory, fault resolution, system changes, and maintenance procedures.
  8. Continuously monitor network traffic, activity, capacity, and usage to ensure system integrity and optimal performance.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network and system architectures of minimum 4 years for the same field .
  3. Strong knowledge of network protocols, hardware, software, and operating systems used in enterprise environments.
  4. Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools and performance tuning.
  5. Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving network issues, including emergencies and outages.
  6. Experience with installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, databases, applications, and workstations.
  7. Ability to develop custom network solutions tailored to business needs.
  8. Familiarity with network documentation best practices and maintaining accurate technical records.
  9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  10. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and remote sites.
  11. Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  12. Willingness to travel to remote project sites as required.

3. ERP Specialist (ANZSCO: ****** Software Engineer)

About the Role:

As an ERP Specialist at Rusca Developments, you’ll be responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimising our ERP system to support our modular construction projects and remote operations. You’ll analyse business processes, develop and test solutions, ensure robust system security, and drive continuous improvements that keep our data accurate, our workflows efficient, and our teams connected — all in line with our mission to deliver quality outcomes for the communities we serve.

Salary: AUD 115,000 + Superannuation

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Research, consult, and analyse our operational workflows to identify ERP system requirements that support our modular building processes, remote project delivery, and Indigenous community partnerships.
  2. Evaluate existing systems and processes to pinpoint technology gaps or inefficiencies, and recommend practical solutions that enhance how Rusca Developments manages projects, logistics, and reporting.
  3. Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and error correction within our ERP environment, ensuring applications run securely and reliably according to defined quality standards and technical security controls.
  4. Develop and maintain clean, efficient program code that aligns with system designs, technical specifications, and industry quality standards — optimising our ERP to support off-site construction, procurement, and workforce tracking.
  5. Prepare, update, and maintain detailed technical documentation, end?user guides, and operational procedures so our teams — both on-site and in remote locations — can use the system effectively and consistently.
  6. Provide expert guidance on software strategies, cost evaluations, and ERP upgrades or enhancements, ensuring that any investments in technology align with Rusca’s business needs and growth objectives.
  7. Manage automated testing and deployment of ERP system updates to minimise downtime and maintain smooth business operations across our modular manufacturing and community project sites.
  8. Collect, analyse, and interpret system performance data and operational metrics, using insights to drive improvements in workflows and decision?making.
  9. Champion continuous improvement and delivery practices within ERP system design and development, supporting Rusca’s commitment to quality and efficiency in servicing remote and Indigenous communities.
  10. Develop and maintain tools that enable effective ERP management, system security, and data integrity — ensuring sensitive project and workforce data remains protected at all times.
  11. Perform forensic reviews of system activity to detect anomalies or potential threats, applying encryption and decryption methods as needed, and proactively identifying and mitigating security risks throughout the ERP system lifecycle.

Requirements:

  1. Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline — or equivalent industry experience.
  2. Proven at least 10 years of professional experience in system development, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
  3. Strong skills in analysing and translating business processes into effective system solutions.
  4. Proficiency in programming languages and tools relevant to ERP environments.
  5. Solid understanding of database structures, security controls, and data integrity practices.
  6. Demonstrated experience in system troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimisation.
  7. Familiarity with automation, deployment, and continuous improvement strategies.
  8. Knowledge of risk management, encryption, and system forensic analysis techniques.
  9. Strong documentation skills, with the ability to prepare clear technical and end-user materials.
