We are currently looking for a skilled Cyber Security Analyst to support and enhance our growing security operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Must know how to analyze system logs, network activity, and security alerts using SIEM tools like Splunk or Microsoft Sentinel.
· Tasked with the implementation of vulnerability assessments and risk evaluation for systems using tools including Tenable Nessus or Qualys.
· Must be competent in aiding the investigation of security incidents, gathering evidence, and facilitating remediation efforts.
· Requires hands-on experience in malware analysis and behavioural threat investigation using tools such as VirusTotal and CrowdStrike Falcon.
· Must be apt in contributing to risk assessment processes, including identifying attack vectors and security misconfigurations.
· Should have previous experience in implementing and supporting security controls, such as endpoint protection, encryption, and cloud-based safeguards.
· Collaborate with IT and DevOps to secure integration of cloud platforms, CRM systems, and third-party applications.
· Needs to support documentation of security incidents, maintain logs, and contribute to compliance with Privacy Act 1988, Essential Eight, and other relevant standards.
· Required to participate in delivering internal cybersecurity awareness training and promoting best practices among staff.
Required Qualifications & Experience
·A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
· Certifications such as CompTIASecurity+, CEH, SSCP, or similar are desirable and highly regarded.
· A minimum of 5 years experience in IT, including at least 2 years of focused work in cybersecurity involving threat detection, response, or monitoring.
· Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel) and vulnerability scanners (Nessus, Qualys).
· Familiarity with security analysis, incident documentation, and regulatory compliance standards in Australia.
· Prior involvement in projects requiring the implementation or support of cybersecurity tools and frameworks is advantageous.
