About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Civil Engineer to join our growing team. The successful applicant will work on diverse residential and small-scale commercial construction projects, assisting in planning, designing, and overseeing construction activities.

Key Responsibilities

? Determining construction methods, materials, and quality standards specific to residential building projects, and preparing and interpreting specifications, plans, and technical drawings.

? Organising and directing site labour and coordinating the delivery of construction materials, plant, and equipment to ensure efficient site operations.

? Conducting soil investigations and site assessments to inform design decisions and ensure the structural integrity of foundations and building works.

? Preparing detailed cost estimates, budgets, and schedules for residential projects and assisting in budgetary control throughout project delivery.

? Reviewing design changes, assessing cost implications, and managing variations with clients, contractors, and consultants.

? Performing structural analysis and design calculations to ensure residential structures comply with safety standards and building codes.

? Collaborating with architects, building designers, contractors, and local authorities to ensure smooth project delivery and regulatory compliance.

? Inspecting works on-site to monitor compliance with plans, specifications, quality standards, and relevant legislation.

? Contributing to sustainable and energy-efficient design practices in line with the company’s commitment to quality homes.

Skills & Experience

? Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Civil Engineering.

? At least 1 year post-qualification experience in civil engineering or construction projects.

? Solid understanding of residential construction practices in Australia, including Australian Standards and building regulations.

? Proficiency with engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar).

? Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.

? Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

? Professional membership (e.g., Engineers Australia) is advantageous but not essential.
