Position Summary

The Retail Manager will oversee the daily operations of the MadMex Stanhope Gardens outlet, focusing on optimising team performance, maintaining inventory and food quality standards, and driving customer satisfaction. The role involves managing restaurant workflows, supporting team development, monitoring compliance with food and safety standards, and contributing to local area marketing efforts.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate daily store operations to ensure efficient food preparation, fast service, and high standards of cleanliness and presentation
  2. Monitor stock of key MadMex products including fresh produce, proteins, condiments, packaging, and beverages; coordinate ordering to minimise shortages and wastage
  3. Manage and adjust staffrosters based on sales patternsand expected demand,ensuring appropriate coverage during peak periods
  4. Support and mentor team members to maintain a consistent level of customer service and uphold the MadMex brand image
  5. Respond to customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a timely and professional manner
  6. Track sales performance and support the implementation of promotions, loyalty programs, and upselling strategies to increase revenue
  7. Handle end-of-day reconciliation, basic financial reporting, and cash management in line with franchise policy
  8. Ensure the store meets food safety and hygiene requirements, including daily compliance with cleaning schedules, temperature logs, and food handling protocols
  9. Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of staff in accordance with company values and operational expectations

Skills and Experience Required

  1. At least 1-2 years of hands-on experience in a supervisory or management role in a fast-casual or quick-service restaurant environment
  2. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage a diverse team
  3. Strong knowledge of food safety procedures and operational compliance in food retail
  4. Proficiency in using POS systems, inventory software, and scheduling tools
  5. Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, sales analysis, and cost control
  6. Diploma or equivalent qualification in Retail, Hospitality, or Business Management (preferred)
  7. Australian Citizen / Permanent resident preferred.
