Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Civil Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, supervising, and executing civil construction works across various projects. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to complex infrastructure builds while working within a supportive and collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project documents
- Plan, design, and oversee construction and maintenance of civil structures and infrastructure
- Supervise site investigations and soil testing to assess foundation strength and suitability
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timelines and quality standards are met
- Estimate quantities and costs of materials, equipment, and labour for project planning and budgeting
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, building codes, and environmental regulations
- Monitor construction progress and ensure project milestones and targets are achieved
- Identify potential risks and implement effective risk mitigation strategies
- Prepare reports, progress documentation, and technical proposals
- Liaise with clients, architects, site supervisors, and government authorities
- Oversee quality control, health & safety compliance, and environmental performance on site
- Resolve any site issues and engineering challenges that arise during construction
- Participate in tendering processes, cost estimation, and technical reviews
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in civil construction or infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with local building codes, Australian Standards, and regulatory requirements
- Proficiency in civil design and project management software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Project)
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- White Card and valid driver's licence required
- Registration with Engineers Australia or relevant certification (desirable)
