Parts Store Person / Driver - Lytton

Job Summary
The Parts Store Person/Driver is responsible for managing the inventory of automotive parts and accessories, ensuring accurate stock levels, and delivering parts to customers, workshops, and vendors in a timely and professional manner. This dual-role position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
In-Store Duties
- Receive, inspect, and stock incoming vehicle parts and accessories
- Maintain organized inventory with accurate labeling and storage
- Process internal and external parts orders efficiently
- Assist service technicians and retail customers in identifying and sourcing parts
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the parts department
- Conduct regular stocktakes and report discrepancies
- Use dealership software to manage inventory and sales records
Delivery Duties
- Pick up and deliver parts to customers, workshops, and vendors
- Verify parts against invoices and ensure accurate deliveries
- Collect signatures and payments where applicable
- Maintain delivery logs and documentation
- Perform basic vehicle checks and report maintenance needs
- Represent the dealership professionally during all deliveries
Skills & Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Forklift license
- Previous experience in automotive parts or warehousing preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Basic computer literacy (inventory systems, email, etc.)
- Ability to lift and carry heavy parts (up to 25kg)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of automotive parts and terminology is a plus
Working Conditions
- Full-time, with occasional overtime or weekend shifts
- Combination of indoor (store) and outdoor (delivery) work
- May involve standing for long periods and lifting heavy items
