The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Engineering Technician to join our dynamic team to contribute to a wide range of construction projects.

The Responsibilities

As a Civil Engineering Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our engineering team, ensuring that projects are completed to the highest standards and within tight deadlines.

1. Assist in the preparation of detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation using CAD software.
2. Conduct site surveys and gather data to support project planning and design.
3. Collaborate with engineers and other professionals to develop project specifications and plans.
4. Monitor construction progress, ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
5. Prepare and maintain project records, including progress reports, inspection reports, and as-built drawings.
6. Assist in the coordination of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and availability.
7. Perform site inspections to identify potential issues and recommend solutions.
8. Support the project team in resolving technical challenges and ensuring smooth project execution.

Qualifications / Experience:

1. Proven experience as a Civil Engineering Technician or in a similar role within the construction industry for at least 5 years, more is preferred.
2. Bachelor's qualification or higher.
3. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and other relevant engineering tools.
4. Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, practices, and standards.
5. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately and efficiently.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
7. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
