About the Role
Our client, a reputable manufacturer based in Ingleburn, NSW, is currently seeking an experienced and proactive Production Engineer to join their operations team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to process optimisation, product quality, and production efficiency in a modern manufacturing environment.
As a Production Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving continuous improvement, reducing downtime, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and control manufacturing operations
- Review and optimise production processes and workflows
- Liaise with design and engineering teams for process and product improvements
- Monitor and maintain quality control procedures and documentation
- Investigate and troubleshoot production-related issues
- Support preventative maintenance strategies and equipment optimisation
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Maintain production reports and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and lean manufacturing practices
- Assist in the implementation of new products and production lines
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and lean production systems
- Proficiency in CAD software and production planning tools
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lead and work collaboratively across teams
- Knowledge of safety and quality standards (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma)
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational and project coordination skills
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a production or manufacturing engineering role
- Demonstrated success in process improvement or production optimisation projects
- Experience working in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment
