Salary: $100,000 plus 12% superannuation

The client is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Microsoft Functional Consultant (ICT Business Analyst) to bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions. You will leverage your deep understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (Finance & Operations, Sales, Supply Chain Management) to analyse client processes, design effective solutions, configure applications, and ensure successful implementation. This role requires a blend of business acumen, technical understanding, and exceptional communication skills.

Minimum Requirements:

You must hold a relevant bachelor’s degree and at least one-year previous experience in the similar role is must. OR at least five years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Requirements Elicitation & Analysis:

·Conduct workshops and interviews with business stakeholders to understand pain points, goals, and functional requirements.

·Analyze and document complex business processes (As-Is and To-Be).

·Translate business needs into clear, actionable functional specifications and user stories.

2. Microsoft Solution Design & Configuration:

·Design optimal solutions leveraging Microsoft Dynamics 365 business central modules (F&O, SCM, Sales, etc.).

·Configure Microsoft applications to meet defined business requirements (e.g., setting up workflows, entities, fields, forms, views, business rules, security roles).

·Perform fit-gap analysis between standard Microsoft functionality and client requirements.

3. Solution Implementation & Testing:

·Collaborate with technical consultants (developers) on customization needs and integrations.

·Develop and execute comprehensive test plans (Unit, Functional, UAT).

·Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and manage defect resolution.

·Support data migration planning and validation.

4. Client Collaboration & Communication:

·Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the technical team.

·Present solution designs, demonstrations, and recommendations effectively.

·Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

·Provide training and support to end-users.

5. Documentation:

·Create and maintain essential project documentation (Functional Design Documents - FDDs, Process Flows, Requirement Specifications, Test Scripts, User Guides).

6. Continuous Improvement:

·Stay current with Microsoft Dynamics 365 updates, new features, and industry best practices.

·Identify opportunities for clients to leverage Microsoft solutions more effectively post-implementation.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

•Experience: 1+ year as a Functional Consultant, Business Analyst, or similar role focused on implementing Microsoft enterprise solutions (Dynamics 365 CE/CRM, Dynamics 365 Business Central, or significant Power Platform experience).

•Microsoft Expertise: Proven hands-on configuration experience in at least one primary Microsoft Dynamics 365 module (Sales, Customer Service, F&O, SCM) or Power Platform (Model-Driven Apps, Canvas Apps, Power Automate).

•Business Analysis Core:

o Strong requirements gathering, process mapping (BPMN or similar), and documentation skills.

o Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

o Experience with fit-gap analysis and solution design.

•Project Lifecycle: Solid understanding of ERP/CRM implementation methodologies (e.g., Agile, Hybrid, Sure Step).

•Communication: Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and business needs to technical teams.

•Soft Skills: Client-focused, proactive, collaborative, adaptable, strong stakeholder management, and training skills.

•Technical Aptitude: Understanding of core concepts (databases, integrations, basic security). Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Visio/Process Mapper).

Desirable Skills

  1. Domain Knowledge: Experience in specific industries (e.g., Manufacturing, Retail, Professional Services, Non-Profit, Financial Services).
  2. Power Platform: Experience building solutions with Power Apps (Canvas & Model- Driven), Power Automate (Cloud Flows), Power BI, Dataverse.
  3. Integration Awareness: Understanding of integration patterns with other Microsoft products (Office 365, Azure) or 3rd party systems.
  4. Testing Tools: Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar ALM tools.
  5. Data Migration: Experience with data mapping and migration tools.
