Assist mechanical engineers in the inspection, evaluation, and repair of high-wear industrial components to ensure operational reliability.

Perform diagnostic testing on mechanical systems and components, including shafts, housings, and hydraulic equipment, identifying wear patterns and failure points.

Record precise measurements, prepare detailed maintenance reports, and maintain technical documentation to support engineering analysis and compliance.

Monitor and support surface treatment processes such as laser cladding and arc spray coating, ensuring process parameters are maintained for quality and consistency.

Collaborate with engineers and machinists to troubleshoot mechanical failures and contribute practical recommendations for design or process improvements.

Maintain workshop equipment performance logs, conduct routine checks, and support quality control audits to uphold safety and performance standards.

Qualifications and Work Experience:

1. Certificate IV or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology (or similar)
2. Relevant trade qualification (e.g., Fitter and Turner) desirable
3. At least 5 years experience in a mechanical workshop or industrial maintenance environment
4. Familiarity with quality systems and safety standards
5. Competency in using measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
6. Basic knowledge of CAD or engineering software (advantageous)
7. Ability to interpret technical manuals and engineering drawings
