We are seeking two trade-qualified motor mechanics to join our team. This role involves diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of light vehicles, providing exceptional service while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed diagnostics to identify mechanical issues in light vehicles, including engine, electrical, and suspension systems, ensuring accurate troubleshooting.
- Carry out regular maintenance tasks, such as oil and fluid changes, brake servicing, tire rotations, and battery checks, to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
- Assess essential systems - engine, transmission, suspension, and braking to identify potential issues, using both manual inspections and diagnostic tools to verify findings.
- Operate modern diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot and repair vehicles accurately, following the latest industry standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Replace or repair defective parts, such as belts, hoses, and filters, ensuring that repairs meet safety and quality guidelines.
- Keep detailed and accurate records of repairs performed, parts used, and service history.
- Communicate effectively with customers, explaining repair needs, recommendations, and service options.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including proper use of tools, disposal of waste, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
- Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with automotive technology advancements.
- Work collaboratively with fellow technicians to improve efficiency in the workshop.
- Conduct quality control assessments on completed repairs.
- Organize and manage individual work orders efficiently.
