Position: Mechanical Engineer – Full-Time

Salary: $76,000 – $78,000 + Superannuation

Your Role

You’ll be responsible for designing, assessing, and supporting the implementation of mechanical and structural components across a variety of projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Create technical drawings, layouts, and 3D models using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
2. Design mechanical components and assemblies for storage systems and custom-built installations
3. Conduct structural load analysis and ensure all systems meet safety and compliance standards
4. Collaborate with project managers, site installers, and suppliers to achieve client objectives
5. Undertake site visits for measurements, feasibility studies, and post-installation evaluations
6. Prepare documentation and reports in line with Australian Standards and building regulations
7. Continuously improve product designs and contribute to innovation across projects
8. Maintain project timelines and coordinate with manufacturing and delivery teams

What You’ll Need

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
2. At least 1-2 years’ experience in a mechanical or product design engineering role
3. Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
4. Strong understanding of structural integrity, fabrication, and installation principles
5. Ability to interpret technical plans and convert concepts into manufacturable solutions
6. Excellent communication skills and a team-focused mindset
7. Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical approach
8. Familiarity with workplace safety standards and compliance in engineering projects
