Key Responsibilities:

1. Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities.
2. Develop and modify menus to meet quality standards and customer preferences.
3. Estimate food requirements and manage food and labor costs.
4. Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring efficiency and teamwork.
5. Oversee equipment purchases, maintenance, and repairs.
6. Recruit and train kitchen staff as needed.
7. Address customer complaints and kitchen-related issues professionally.
8. Ensure compliance with nutrition, sanitation, and safety regulations.
9. Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
10. Manage and maintain a food safety program, including documentation.
11. Plan menus, schedule rosters, and oversee ordering of supplies.
12. Demonstrate cooking techniques and provide guidance to staff.
13. Monitor and enforce Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) standards.
14. Build and maintain strong working relationships with the team.
15. Effectively manage time during preparation and service periods.

Qualifications & Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Chef in a high-paced kitchen environment.
2. Strong kitchen management skills with the ability to delegate tasks.
3. Ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
4. Excellent leadership and communication skills.
5. Up-to-date knowledge of culinary trends and kitchen process optimization.
6. Proficiency in computer programs (MS Office, POS, and restaurant management software).
7. Health and safety training credentials.
8. Culinary school diploma or a degree in food service management (preferred).
