About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Mechanical Engineer – Production Head to take the lead in overseeing, improving, and managing our entire production control framework. This senior leadership position is pivotal in driving manufacturing efficiency, engineering innovation, and aligning production output with strategic business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Process Leadership

  1. Lead production planning, workflow optimization, and manufacturing schedules in alignment with lean manufacturing principles.
  2. Oversee the full life cycle of engineering projects—from design and procurement to fabrication and installation—ensuring timely delivery and budget compliance.
  3. Analyze, design, and implement mechanical improvements, CNC programs, and tooling modifications to enhance efficiency and output.

Project Management & Scheduling

  1. Develop structured project schedules and design team workflows to improve project efficiency, reduce bottlenecks, and ensure milestone completion.
  2. Manage end-to-end project documentation, standardize material specifications, and streamline fabrication instructions to ensure quality and speed of delivery.

Procurement & Vendor Coordination

  1. Source and procure high-quality materials (e.g., chemsets, fixings, fasteners), ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
  2. Coordinate vendors, subcontractors, and logistics teams to streamline procurement and delivery schedules, improving supply chain effectiveness.

Site & Installation Oversight

  1. Plan and supervise installation operations using advanced lifting and rigging techniques such as spider cranes and gantries.
  2. Enforce strict adherence to WHS regulations and facilitate Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), risk assessments, and site safety inductions.

Compliance, Quality & Documentation

  1. Drive quality assurance protocols through process audits, engineering compliance checks, and rigorous inspection of both pre- and post-installation phases.
  2. Prepare and submit engineering documentation including structural load calculations, propping plans, and project-specific compliance reports.

Leadership & Mentoring

  1. Supervise and mentor cross-functional production and installation teams, cultivating a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  2. Lead 5S implementation across production and project sites to improve organization, minimize waste, and boost operational efficiency.

Project Closeout & Handover

  1. Oversee final stages of project delivery, including final inspections, surface finishing (painting, polishing), client walkthroughs, invoicing, and smooth handovers.
  2. Monitor KPI tracking, cost performance, and reporting to senior management for all project and production milestones.

What We’re Looking For

  1. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  2. Experience: At least 1-2 years in senior production control, mechanical engineering, or manufacturing leadership role.
  3. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive strategic production initiatives.
  4. Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in mechanical systems design, CNC programming, production planning software, and manufacturing analytics.
  5. Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to lead cross-functional teams and report to executive management.

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary: $100,000 – $120,000 per annum (plus super)
