Salary: $69,000 plus 11.5% superannuation
Our client Genial Australia Pty Ltd, trading as Sparbourke, operates an independent supermarket under the SPAR brand and is dedicated to providing the community with the freshest groceries, fruits, and vegetables, dairy products and non-food items. The store is known for its friendly atmosphere, exceptional customer service, and high-quality products.
Sparbourke is currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive General Clerk to join their team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support the administrative and clerical operations of the supermarket in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
As a General Clerk, you will assist in maintaining accurate records, supporting daily business processes, and ensuring smooth coordination between departments. You will play a vital role in assisting the store’s management and staff with administrative functions that support inventory, customer service, finance, and general operations.
Minimum Requirements:
·Certificate III in Business or a related field
·1+ years' experience in an administrative or clerical role
·Familiarity with accounting software and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
Key Responsibilities:
·Perform general administrative duties including data entry, filing, and document management
·Maintain records of invoices, deliveries, and inventory levels
·Assist with preparing reports and spreadsheets as required by management
·Respond to internal and external enquiries professionally and efficiently
·Provide administrative support to the store team, including rostering and payroll documentation
·Assist with processing customer transactions and refunds when required
·Ensure office supplies are maintained and replenished as needed
·Support compliance and record-keeping related to store operations
·Assist in coordinating communication between store departments and external vendors
Requirements:
·Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills
·Solid computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
·Strong written and verbal communication skills
·Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
·A positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and in a team
·Familiarity with basic accounting or retail systems is an advantage
