Crispynco Pty Ltd is a growing and client-focused organization offering high-quality financial services and support. We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team and contribute to the ongoing financial health and compliance of the business.
Position Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of accounting duties, including financial reporting, tax compliance, internal control monitoring, and business advisory services. You will support strategic decision-making while ensuring full compliance with relevant accounting standards and legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing accounting and budgeting policies in line with financial objectives.
- Prepare and present financial statements and reports for management, boards, shareholders, and regulatory authorities.
- Conduct financial reviews, audits, and investigations to support business decisions, mergers, acquisitions, and detect potential fraud or insolvency.
- Analyse operational costs, income, and expenditure to evaluate financial performance.
- Ensure financial reports are accurate and comply with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Provide expert advice on taxation, business structures, financial strategies, and operational planning.
- Prepare and lodge tax returns for both individuals and businesses in compliance with current laws.
- Coordinate with banks, financial institutions, and brokers to manage investment and funding arrangements.
- Implement and maintain accounting systems, including offering guidance on software selection and integration.
- Oversee internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain financial integrity.
- Assess cash flow patterns and analyse the financial risks of proposed investment projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a closely related field (required).
- At least a year of relevant work experience in accounting or financial services.
- CPA or CA qualification (or working towards) is highly desirable.
- Sound knowledge of Australian taxation laws, financial reporting standards, and accounting systems.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
