Job Title: Accountant

Salary: $75,000 – $82,000 per annum (plus super)

About Us:

Crispynco Pty Ltd is a growing and client-focused organization offering high-quality financial services and support. We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team and contribute to the ongoing financial health and compliance of the business.

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of accounting duties, including financial reporting, tax compliance, internal control monitoring, and business advisory services. You will support strategic decision-making while ensuring full compliance with relevant accounting standards and legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in developing and implementing accounting and budgeting policies in line with financial objectives.
  2. Prepare and present financial statements and reports for management, boards, shareholders, and regulatory authorities.
  3. Conduct financial reviews, audits, and investigations to support business decisions, mergers, acquisitions, and detect potential fraud or insolvency.
  4. Analyse operational costs, income, and expenditure to evaluate financial performance.
  5. Ensure financial reports are accurate and comply with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
  6. Provide expert advice on taxation, business structures, financial strategies, and operational planning.
  7. Prepare and lodge tax returns for both individuals and businesses in compliance with current laws.
  8. Coordinate with banks, financial institutions, and brokers to manage investment and funding arrangements.
  9. Implement and maintain accounting systems, including offering guidance on software selection and integration.
  10. Oversee internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain financial integrity.
  11. Assess cash flow patterns and analyse the financial risks of proposed investment projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a closely related field (required).
  2. At least a year of relevant work experience in accounting or financial services.
  3. CPA or CA qualification (or working towards) is highly desirable.
  4. Sound knowledge of Australian taxation laws, financial reporting standards, and accounting systems.
  5. Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks.
  6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
