With branches across Australia and a strong commitment to engineering excellence, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Technical Sales Engineer to join our team at the Dandenong South head office.
About the Role
This full-time position is responsible for managing industrial customer accounts, providing technical advice, and coordinating end-to-end sales and product support activities. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering tailored solutions, strengthening client relationships, and supporting the growth of our national sales operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop relationships with industrial clients, providing advice on product selection and application.
- Promote and sell conveyor belting, drive components, and other power transmission solutions.
- Prepare quotations and process sales orders using internal ERP and CRM systems (e.g. SAP, Salesforce).
- Conduct client visits, product demonstrations, and provide technical after-sales support.
- Liaise with warehouse, purchasing, and workshop teams to ensure timely fulfilment and product availability.
- Resolve product returns, service requests, and warranty issues professionally and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity, customer interactions, and technical documentation.
- Monitor market trends and support the development of territory-based sales strategies.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in technical or industrial product sales (B2B), preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Proficiency with business systems including ERP and CRM software (SAP and Salesforce experience desirable).
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a focus on customer engagement.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into practical solutions.
- Self-motivated, organised, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
