Position Summary:
Responsible for manufacturing, assembly, and installation of cabinets and wooden joinery.
Engagement / Reporting:
- Engagement with suppliers, fellow team workers, clients, and subcontractors.
- Reporting to the supervisor and the Company Director.
Tasks:
- Reading/interpreting documents, drawings, and project specifications.
- Drafting and project planning.
- Making the selection of materials.
- Production setup with Microvellum software.
- Producing manual cutting schedules
- Producing furniture components with a CNC Router and Edge bander.
- Assembly of cabinets and joinery.
- Installation of joinery and cabinets, including the installation of cabinet hardware (hinges, drawer runners, handles, etc.).
- Repairing cabinets and joinery when needed.
Skills:
- Knowledge of necessary mathematics, materials, and processing.
- Knowledge of cabinet construction techniques and design skills.
- Knowledge of working out and setting out jobs using high-end hardware
- Must be competent in producing complete cutting lists for projects you are working on
- Must be able to cut complete jobs on the panel saw efficiently
- Have computer skills in operating CNC Router and joinery production software (Microvellum), and Operation of an edge bander machine.
Qualification and Experience:
- Australian AQF certificate III or above in Cabinet Making.
- At least 4 years of work experience in the manufacturing & processing of custom joinery & onsite installations.
