About the role
We are seeking an experienced ICT Security Specialist to design, implement, and maintain secure and reliable ICT infrastructure in support of our NDIS operations. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, availability, and security of critical systems and data, including participant and provider information. You will manage database architecture, system backups, disaster recovery, and network performance, while also liaising with vendors and service providers to uphold security standards and service levels. This role plays a key part in safeguarding sensitive information and supporting the continuity of essential NDIS services.
Role and Responsibilities
• Regularly assess existing computer site and network infrastructure to identify future needs and recommend enhancements in line with business growth and evolving NDIS requirements.
• Ensure cohesive design and integration of computer site infrastructure so that all system components function together effectively and securely.
• Design and maintain secure and compliant database architecture, including data structures, tables, dictionaries, and naming conventions to ensure the accuracy and completeness of NDIS master data.
• Implement and administer comprehensive database documentation, guidelines, policies, and procedures specific to NDIS data environments.
• Monitor, analyze, and adjust system and network performance to support continuous and efficient access to NDIS services and digital platforms.
• Perform operational setup and routine preventive maintenance of backup and recovery systems to ensure business continuity and protect sensitive participant and provider data.
• Enforce data integrity controls and system security measures in line with NDIS data protection and privacy standards.
• Accept responsibility for operational management of system security and disaster recovery planning, ensuring minimal disruption to service delivery.
• Test database systems and software upgrades, including debugging, reproducing, logging, and resolving issues using approved testing scripts and procedures.
• Liaise with security vendors, suppliers, service providers, and external consultants to assess, recommend, install, and maintain appropriate software security solutions.
• Monitor and manage vendor contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and performance to ensure compliance with agreed security and delivery standards.
• Troubleshoot and provide support for server-related hardware and software issues, including those affecting workstations and communication infrastructure supporting NDIS operations.
• Prepare, update, and maintain technical documentation, security policies, system logs, and user instructions in accordance with regulatory and audit requirements.

Skills and experience
• must have an experience of more than 1 year working as a ICT security Specialist.
• Applicant must have Bachelor or higher qualification
