Job Title: Fleet Manager

About Us:

Western Car Hire is a well-established car rental company based in Melbourne, VIC, offering a wide range of vehicles to meet the needs of local and visiting customers. We pride ourselves on providing high-quality service and a reliable fleet. Due to ongoing growth, we are seeking an experienced and dedicated Fleet Manager to oversee and optimise the performance, safety, and compliance of our expanding fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage the day-to-day operations of our vehicle fleet, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
2. Schedule and oversee vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs.
3. Ensure all fleet operations comply with Australian transport and safety regulations.
4. Monitor and analyse fleet performance, maintenance costs, and fuel usage.
5. Implement and manage fleet tracking systems and accurate record-keeping.
6. Liaise with mechanics, service providers, and suppliers to maintain vehicle standards.
7. Coordinate vehicle allocation, check-in/check-out, and return processes.
8. Supervise and support staff involved in vehicle logistics and servicing.

Required Skills & Experience:

1. Minimum of 1 years’ experience in fleet management, automotive operations, or transport/logistics.
2. Solid understanding of vehicle maintenance and fleet management systems.
3. Knowledge of Australian transport regulations and occupational health and safety standards.
4. Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fleet management software.
6. Valid Australian driver’s licence.

Desirable:

1. Qualifications in logistics, automotive management, or a related field.
2. Previous experience in the car rental or automotive services industry.
