Are you ready to lead the way in test automation and quality assurance? The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is seeking a Senior Advisor (Test Automation) to drive innovation and embed quality into ICT solutions.

In this role, you will plan, execute, and maintain test automation and technical test artefacts while advocating for quality across teams. You’ll develop and implement manual and automated testing solutions, including reusable test artefacts, test data, and environments to support continuous integration (CI) pipelines. By championing TMR’s Test Policy and Strategy, you’ll guide teams to exceed customer quality expectations through peer reviews and quality assurance activities.

Your analytical approach will help identify quality improvement opportunities, reduce rework, and present findings to stakeholders. You’ll collaborate with teams to achieve quality outcomes, mentor testers and team members, and foster a culture of quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

About you:

  1. A formal qualification in Computer Science, Electronics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience) would be advantageous.
  2. (ISTQB®) certifications such as Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL), Technical Test Analyst (CTAL-TTA), or Test Automation Engineer (CTAL-TAE).
  3. Experience with testing tools like Selenium, Python, Robot & Karate Frameworks, AccelQ, and ReadyAPI.
  4. Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevOps pipelines, and automated testing for cloud services (CI/CD/CT).
