Due to the business growing, we are now looking for a professional and reliable Architect to join our team.

???? Salary:: from $97,000 to $100,000 plus superannuation contributions

About the Role

As an Architectural Draftsperson, you will work closely with architects and designers to prepare detailed drawings, documentation, and 3D models using advanced drafting techniques and CAD software. You’ll be a crucial part of the design and development process, ensuring accuracy, compliance with Australian building codes, and creative excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Produce detailed architectural drawings and plans for residential and commercial projects.
  2. Interpret architectural sketches and concepts into working documentation.
  3. Ensure all drawings meet relevant building codes and regulations (BCA, NCC, etc.).
  4. Assist in preparing documentation for planning and construction approval.
  5. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
  6. Maintain and update project files and documentation.

Requirements

  1. Certificate IV or Diploma in Building Design, Architectural Drafting, or related field.
  2. Minimum 2 years of experience in a drafting role within the Australian building industry.
  3. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and/or ArchiCAD.
  4. Strong knowledge of Australian building codes and standards.
  5. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  6. Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred but Not Essential

  1. Experience with 3D rendering software (e.g., SketchUp, Lumion).
  2. Understanding of sustainable design principles.
  3. Previous experience working with DA/CC documentation.
