The Opportunity

We are seeking a high-performing Business Development Property Manager to drive

growth while managing a large and growing portfolio of premium properties. This is

not a routine property manager role this is for someone who thrives on winning

business, building relationships, and delivering world-class client service.

You’ll be backed by a skilled team and supported with marketing and admin

resources, so you can focus on what you do best growing and nurturing your

portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage a high-performing portfolio of 600+ residential and/or commercial

properties, ensuring service excellence and long-term client retention.

1. Prospect and secure new property management contracts through referrals,

outreach, and strategic partnerships.

1. Prepare and present tailored property management proposals to prospective

clients.

1. Build relationships with local developers, investors, and real estate

professionals

1. Provide strategic property advocacy services, guiding clients through tailored

investment decisions to help them achieve their financial goals.

1. Oversee leasing, tenant screening, rent collection, arrears, maintenance,

inspections, and VCAT representation.

1. Stay ahead of market trends, legislative changes, and competitor activity
2. Represent FINNIA at local networking and industry events
3. Ensure compliance with all tenancy laws and safety regulations

What You Bring

Must-Have:

1. Minimum 1 year experience in property management.
2. AQF Certificate IV or higher in Real Estate / Property Services.
3. Demonstrated business development and sales ability.
4. Strong communication and negotiation skills—you can close
5. A driver’s license and a reliable vehicle
6. Confidence using property management software (e.g., Property ME, Console Cloud)
7. A proactive, organized mindset and a genuine care for clients. Highly Desirable:
8. Existing network of landlords/investors.
9. Proven experience in property advocacy and helping clients achieve their financial goals. through strategic property investment advice.
