Salary range: $90,000 - $120,000 per annum (depending upon skills and experience)
Location: Auburn, NSW
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the company’s car and truck rental fleet, ensuring vehicles are roadworthy, serviced, and operationally ready.
- Coordinate bookings, dispatch, vehicle delivery, and return processes to ensure optimal fleet utilization and customer satisfaction.
- Handle procurement, leasing, and disposal of vehicles, ensuring compliance with budgetary targets and lifecycle strategies.
- Maintain up-to-date vehicle records, service logs, registration, insurance, and safety compliance as per Australian transport regulations.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and supervision of drivers and support staff to ensure operational effectiveness.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports, highlighting fleet performance, utilization rates, and incident management.
- Ensure the timely and safe delivery of goods, resolving any logistical or customer issues that may arise.
- Liaise with internal departments and external workshops for timely repairs, maintenance scheduling, and roadside assistance coordination.
- Ensure vehicles meet emissions, cleanliness, and safety standards in line with environmental and workplace regulations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless transport operations.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a fleet management or related logistics coordination role within Australia.
- Minimum diploma in Business, transport, logistics, or a related field is necessary. A substantial work experience in Australia may substitute the requirement of qualification.
- Strong understanding of fleet scheduling, maintenance planning, and vehicle lifecycle management in the rental or transport sector.
- Strong knowledge of transport regulations, safety protocols, and operational procedures in Australian vehicle rental industry.
- Proven ability to manage buying, selling and leasing of fleet of vehicles
·Proficiency in Microsoft Office, transport/logistics tracking systems (GPS, booking systems, TMS), and other relevant software for managing logistics operations.
- Demonstrated experience in budget management, cost control, and improving operational efficiencies.
- Ability to work under pressure and resolve issues in a timely manner.
