Project Management Specialist - Contract - 18195 About the Opportunity Our client, a Crown Corporation, is seeking an experienced Project Management Specialist to support the successful delivery of strategic initiatives. This is a full-time remote contract opportunity ideal for a detail-oriented and highly organized professional with experience in both Agile and hybrid project environments. The role will play a key part in overseeing medium-to-large scale projects from initiation through to completion and operational transition. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provide hands-on project management expertise by collaborating with internal stakeholders, team members, and cross-functional groups
- Lead projects through the stages of solution selection, configuration, implementation, and transition to operations
- Develop project plans, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources to meet defined objectives
- Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and deliverables using various project management tools
- Prepare documentation such as charts, diagrams, status updates, and briefings to communicate project status and challenges
- Maintain stakeholder engagement through regular communication and effective issue resolution
- Act as a central coordination point for all project resources and subject matter experts.
- Assist in the creation, organization, and maintenance of project documentation, including records of decisions and supporting materials for executive briefings
- Support workshop facilitation and follow-up documentation processes
- Track change requests and maintain consistency in document formatting, version control, and storage
About You The successful candidate will have the following:
- University degree or college diploma in information technology, project management, business analysis or a related field
- A minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience using Agile or hybrid delivery approaches (Agile/Waterfall) to deliver strategic projects
- A minimum of five (5) years of recent demonstrated experience on medium-to-large sized projects
- Demonstrated ability to communicate to all levels of an organization using clear and compelling written products and oral presentations/briefings
- Demonstrated experience leading multiple initiatives concurrently and effectively managing interdependencies
- SCRUM Master Certification - an asset
- PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis) - an asset
- English (fluency required)
- Must be eligible for Reliability Status clearance
About the Job - Duration: Initial 6-month contract with the possibility of extension up to 2.5 years
