Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and data-driven Supply Chain Analyst to join our Melbourne team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in optimizing cross-border logistics operations to support the efficiency and reliability of our supply chain network.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Analyze end-to-end supply chain activities related to international freight forwarding between Australia and China.
2. Evaluate shipment data, customs timelines, and warehouse turnover to identify inefficiencies and recommend targeted improvements.
3. Monitor freight schedules, shipping routes, and warehouse inventory levels to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
4. Identify process bottlenecks across procurement, warehousing, and transportation, and recommend solutions including system upgrades or procedural adjustments.
5. Collaborate with Chinese and Australian suppliers, carriers, and internal operations teams to coordinate shipment flow and documentation.
6. Produce regular reports on key logistics and cost-performance metrics to support strategic planning and continuous improvement.
7. Assess freight and customs trends, identify potential risks or delays, and propose proactive solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

Essential Personal Attributes:

1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
2. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
3. Excellent communication skills in English; Mandarin proficiency is a plus due to regular coordination with Chinese suppliers.
4. Familiarity with international trade, freight regulations, and customs documentation.
5. Proficient in data analysis tools and supply chain software (e.g., Excel, NetSuite, or other ERP systems).
6. Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement approach to workflow and process optimization.
