Position Title: Junior Structural Engineer (Full-time, Permanent)

Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 + Superannuation

About the Role:

They are currently seeking a Junior Structural Engineer to join their growing team. The role involves hands-on structural design, documentation, and regular site coordination to ensure accurate execution in line with design intent and standards. The position is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in structural principles, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Determine load paths and perform load calculations up to footing level, accounting for all permanent, temporary, and natural loadings (e.g., wind, earthquake)
2. Design and document structural elements using engineering knowledge
3. Compare material properties and select appropriate construction materials during structural design
4. Conduct regular site visits and provide on-site engineering support to ensure compliance with design intent
5. Use computer software for structural modelling
6. Apply engineering judgment to enhance constructability and manage costs
7. Prepare structural inspection reports to address on-site construction issues
