About the Role:
Pyrmont Consultant is seeking a qualified and experienced Engineering Technologist on behalf of our valued client – RUSCA Group - a nationally reputed infrastructure and project management company based in the Northern Territory. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing engineering team delivering complex and innovative solutions across energy, civil infrastructure, and resource projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, development, and optimisation of engineering systems, processes, and equipment
- Conduct detailed technical assessments and prepare documentation such as specifications, standards, and reports
- Apply engineering technology to enhance performance, safety, and sustainability across projects
- Liaise with senior engineers, project managers, and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with technical and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to project planning, implementation, and quality assurance processes
- Support testing and validation of prototypes or system components in the field and laboratory settings
Essential Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent qualification recognised in Australia
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within civil, mechanical, or electrical disciplines
- Demonstrated ability to work with engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
- Strong technical report writing and communication skills
- Familiarity with Australian Standards, WHS legislation, and environmental regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Desirable:
- Previous experience working in regional or remote project environments
- Membership with Engineers Australia or working towards professional accreditation
