The Opportunity: We are currently seeking an excellent trade-qualified Diesel Motor Mechanic.

Role: Diesel Motor Mechanic

Location: Dandenong South VIC 3175

$75,000 PA plus Superannuation

Expected Hours of Work: MON-SAT – (6:00AM – 5:00PM)

The position will include duties such as but will not be limited to:

1. Perform scheduled maintenance services, detect and faults in engine and parts, dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanism and other components, test and adjust mechanical parts, inspect vehicles for roadworthiness, repair and replace worn or defective parts and tyre fitting, maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles, maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles, consulting the customers and keeping the shop tidy and organized.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following skills, attributes and qualifications:

·Minimum of Certificate III in Automotive Diesel Engine Technology or a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology.

·Minimum two years of Diesel Motor Mechanic experience.

·With current Registration / Driving licensing will be required.

·Provide or be prepared to undertake a National Police Clearance Certificate.

·Customer service-focused, safe work practices with positive attitude and work ethics.

·Deep Understanding of Diesel Engines includes knowledge of engine components, fuel injection systems, and various other systems like brakes, transmission, and exhaust.

·Ability to identify and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts.

·Expertise in using diagnostic software and equipment to assess vehicle issues.

·Understanding of electrical circuits, wiring, and electronic systems in diesel vehicles.

·Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems commonly found in heavy equipment.

·Skilled in performing routine maintenance, repairing engine components, and replacing worn parts.

·Ability to weld and repair parts of the vehicle's frame and body.

·Understanding of safety procedures and regulations in the automotive industry.

·Understanding of preventive maintenance procedures to ensure vehicle longevity and performance.
