Due to significant growth, we are seeking a freelancer or possible contract front-end web developer to support our development team. Database and Application development experience is a plus. Prefer Rochester NY based and remote is fine. Job description: The developer should be well versed in HTML, CSS, and Javascript, as well as mobile-responsive web development. Candidate must be able to build websites in Wordpress, without too much reliance on plugins. Candidate must be skilled in writing clean, efficient code that other developers on our team can expand upon. Skills should include a strong sense of UX and experience with modern front-end development standards. We also require an ability to effectively communicate your work with both technical and non-technical peers. Familiarity with and adherence to web standards and best practices for load time reduction and accessibility is important. Knowledge of SEO best practices is a plus!
