Can you create a website from scratch given a Figma design? Do you know how to code using React fundamentals? Functional Components, Hooks, JSX, etc. Working with me over the next 6-12 months give you the skills and knowledge to boost you to a senior level engineer commanding over 100k/yr. I am a Staff level frontend engineer have worked at some of the largest software companies in silicon valley. I run a small Front-End Web technology consulting company and have committed to a bit more work than I'd like to take on myself. I'm looking for Las Vegas based individuals who are reliable, intelligent, hard working, and have a good attitude about learning the latest frontend technologies that can commit to working in person Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. I'm expecting you to already have a good skill level in web technologies (such as React, Next.js, Sveltekit, HTML/CSS/Javascript, etc) and a mindset that is eager to learn about the latest front end technologies. Technologies that we are working on (in order of importance): React JS, Next JS, Sveltekit Typescript Tailwind CSS, Styled Components React Hooks (useState, useEffect, useMemo/useCallback, custom hooks) React Query React Hook Form Authentication (Auth0) Supabase Javascript ES6+ Semantic HTML/HTML 5 Git Node.js Postgres and Mysql SEO methodologies Google map/mapbox Bonus if you know or are interested in these technologies as well: kubernetes, docker, helm, aws, git/gitlab ci The ideal applicant can commit to meeting M-F between business hours over at least the next 6 months (hopefully longer) as a contractor. You will effectively get a lot more real world experience - working on the latest web technologies, and hopefully a glowing recommendation from me =) If you're interested please send me an email introducing yourself and describing your background with programming/web technologies (things that you may have worked on, problems that you may have solved), your work experience overall, your current commitments - job, school, etc, availability to meet 8am-5pm Monday-Friday at a cafe with internet, expectations for pay. Qualified candidates will be asked to meet for a quick live-coding interview before meeting in person.
